Dear Deshantari Community,  

We are absolutely delighted to announce that the Deshantari Annual Dinner 2025 will take place on Saturday, December 20th, at The Glebe Community Centre (175 Third Ave, Ottawa, ON K1S 2K2). 

 The festivities will begin at 6:00 PM and promise an enchanting evening filled with warmth, laughter, and the true spirit of the holidays. Get ready for a night of delightful activities, joyful music, the much-awaited arrival of Santa Claus, and plenty of Christmas magic—We'll wrap up the celebration with a sumptuous Bengali feast, brimming with mouth-watering dishes, an array of decadent desserts, and the comforting aroma of masala tea—served in true delicious style to delight every sense. Children’s Christmas Party - Children (Under 12) will enjoy games, activities, treats, and a gift from Santa. Parents are requested to send a boxed gift (max value $20) with each child with their name(s) clearly written on them for Santa to give to the child. Interested parents please confirm your child(ren)'s participation (deadline 12th December) by contacting Adrija Chakravarti (Secretary) by email deshantarisecretary@gmail.com.

Tickets are $30.00 per member !!CORRECTION!! (children 12 and under are free!) and $50 for non-members and guests. 

Raise a toast to the season with an alcohol of your choice—available at $5 per beverage ticket (maximum 2 per adult, 19+). Let’s make it a night to remember! Alcohol service ends at 10:00 PM!

We kindly encourage advance payment for both dinner and drink coupons (we recommend drink coupons be purchased in advance to reduce cash handling) via e-transfer to:

Catering will be based on confirmed RSVPs. RSVPs are valid only with full payment. 

Our apologies due to limited resources for this event, we cannot accept payments at the venue. Thank you for spreading the festive spirit early—your prompt RSVP helps make this holiday gathering truly merry and bright! 

 Parking Information - For your convenience, parking is available at the Glebe Garage (Lot 8) – 170 Second Avenue  (Just 1 minute by car or a 3-minute stroll from the venue!)

• Levels 3 & 4: More than 2 hours

To make the evening even more joyful (and eco-friendly!), we encourage carpooling with friends and family whenever possible.
